Terms and Conditions:

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the facilities and services provided by Glen Avon Country House Bed and Breakfast by its guests.

Booking and reservations
Guests must make reservations in advance by contacting us through our website booking page, emailing us at info@glenavoncountryhouse.au or by telephone on +61 0419271058.

When making reservations, guests will be required to provide identification information including, but not limited to, their name, address, contact telephone number and email address.

Credit Card details are required for all reservations. Unless the reservation is expressly stated to require payment at the time of reservation, no payment will be taken until such times as the reservation is confirmed.

Reservations booked in advance do not constitute a legally binding contract between Glen Avon Country House and the guest until Glen Avon Country House confirms the reservation either by phone or email.

Reservations may be changed by the guest at any time prior to arrival (subject to the cancellation terms and conditions). Glen Avon Country House will do its best to accommodate changes requested and will alert the guest if these changes cannot be done.

Glen Avon Country House is open Thursday to Sunday. Guests who may need an extra day’s accommodation need to contact the owner to discuss needs.

Fees and Payment
Single Night accommodation for 1 room $270 per night

2-3 Night Accommodation for 1 room $235 per night

Group Rate: 3 rooms for 2 night minimum stay: $1200

Rates and prices quoted when making reservations apply only to accommodation and breakfast. Additional charges may apply for meals, picnics, transport or event management.

Guests will be informed of the prices payable for extra items after discussion with owners.

Guests shall pay for accommodation on confirmation of reservation.  Payment shall be against an invoice. Extra items will be paid for at the conclusion of the stay at Glen Avon Country House unless already agreed beforehand at time of booking.

Payment methods
The following payment methods are accepted by the Glen Avon Country House:

Cancellations
Reservations may be cancelled without charge provided the Guest gives at least 7 days notice (excluding peak times-Victorian, NSW, National Long Weekends, Easter)) of the same prior to the check-in time for their reservation. If a cancellation is made without 7 days notice then a 50% cancellation fee will apply. Reservations cancelled during peak periods may be cancelled without charge provided the guest gives at least 2 weeks notice. If the guest fails to do so they will forfeit the entire booking amount.

Glen Avon Country House may, from time to time, cancel a reservation. In the event of such cancellation, the Guest shall be informed immediately and shall be offered alternative accommodation on a different date, or a full refund of any and all sums paid.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in time at Glen Avon Country House is after 2 pm. Check-in before 2 pm may be negotiated with the owner depending on availability.

Check-out time at Glen Avon Country House is 11am. Later check-out times may be possible by prior arrangement.

Expectations
Guests are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times when at Glen Avon Country House and consider other guests in residence. We are a small rural farm with cows, a dog and so gates must be closed after entry. Other wildlife on the property may include possums, echidnas, snakes(Brown and Red Belly Black), wombats and birds. These should be given space. Do not feed or touch them.

Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in a guest being asked to leave in which event all sums due shall become immediately payable.

Smoking is not permitted in any indoor or public areas of Glen Avon Country House.

Smoking is not permitted in any rooms.

Failure to adhere to the requirements shall result in the guest being charged for any and all costs incurred by Glen Avon Country House in cleaning the room (including, but not limited to, fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings) and restoring it to a smoke-free environment.

Pets are not permitted at Glen Avon Country House.

Children under the age of 18 are not catered for by Glen Avon Country House.

Guests may be charged for any damage caused by them to any Glen Avon Country House property during their stay.

Food and Drink
Breakfast is included in the accommodation price. This can be continental or cooked and Margie will discuss this with you when you make a booking. Extra meals will be charged. Guests may bring drinks to accompany meals or discuss alternatives with us.

Guests with special dietary requirements are advised to inform Glen Avon Country House when making a reservation. We will do our best to meet these requirements and where this is not possible, inform the guest in advance.

Car Parking Facilities
Car parking facilities are provided for Guests. Guests are required to provide their vehicle’s registration number on arrival. An electric charging point is available on request.

Disabled parking spaces are provided for guests who need to be closer to the entrance.

Disabled Customers
Glen Avon Country House has 3 queen rooms. One room is fitted with an accessible bathroom and has been designed for guests with mobility needs. There is access to the outdoor kitchen, garden, and veranda. Access to the pool will be completed by the end of 2023

Guests with any special requirements pertaining to a disability should inform Glen Avon Country House on booking.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permissible by law, Glen Avon Country House’s liability for any loss or damage suffered by guests shall be limited to that which arises out of the negligence of Glen Avon Country House proprietors, employees, subcontractors, or agents.

Notwithstanding above, Glen Avon Country House shall not be liable for any indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by a guest including, but not limited to, loss of income, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data or loss of enjoyment.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions purports to limit or exclude Glen Avon Country House’s liability for:

death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Glen Avon Country House, its employees, subcontractors or agents;

fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

any other matter for which it would be illegal for Glen Avon Country House to limit or exclude its liability.

General
The guest’s rights as a consumer under consumer protection legislation from time to time in force shall not be affected by these Terms and Conditions.

Glen Avon Country House may, from time to time, change these Terms and Conditions without notice, however, it will use its reasonable endeavours to inform guests as soon as is reasonably possible of any such changes.

Data Protection
Glen Avon Country House will not share guests’ personal data with any third parties for any reasons. Such data will only be collected, processed, and held in accordance with the Glen Avon Country House’s rights and obligations arising under the Australian Privacy Act 1998.

No Waiver
No failure by Glen Avon Country House to enforce any provision in these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of the right to subsequently enforce that provision or any other provision of these Terms and Conditions. Such failure shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach and shall not constitute a continuing waiver.

Severance
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part the validity of the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.

Law and Jurisdiction-State of Victoria
These Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Victoria.

Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between the Parties relating to these Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Victoria.
